
Callan Waldron-Hall is a Liverpool-based writer and fundraiser.
His debut pamphlet learning to be very soft won the 2019 New Poets Prize and is published with Smith|Doorstop (2020). He is the co-author of say when you can feel it published by OUTPUT Gallery (2023)
In 2024 he won a Northern Writers Award for his poetry collection, good luck have fun!
In 2026 he was shortlisted for a Charlotte Aitken Trust Award for Poetry and as a New Northern Poet (Word Up North).
His poetry has appeared in Magma, The North, The Rialto, Prototype, Bath Magg, Ink Sweat & Tears, berlin lit, Ambient Receiver and Orris Root.
He has written for The Poetry Review, Corridor8, Sphinx and Brash Games.
Callan holds a 1st class degree in Creative Writing from Liverpool John Moores University and an MA with distinction in Poetry from Manchester Metropolitan University.
